Dermal Filler FAQs
What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers are injectable gels made from substances like hyaluronic acid that restore lost volume, smooth wrinkles, and enhance facial contours. They’re commonly used for lips, cheeks, jawline, under-eyes, and smile lines.
Do you offer additional dermal fillers?
At this time, we are exclusively providing lip fillers using high-quality products tailored for natural-looking volume, shape, and hydration.
Interested in filler for other areas such as the cheeks, chin, or marionette lines?
We’re happy to accommodate special requests! Our providers are fully trained in administering dermal filler in multiple facial areas and can place a custom order for the specific product best suited to your goals.
Please let your provider know during your consultation, and we’ll work with you to create a personalized plan.
How long do dermal fillers last?
Most fillers last 6–18 months, depending on the product used, the treatment area, and your metabolism.
Is the procedure painful?
Most patients report minimal discomfort. We use topical numbing cream and many fillers contain lidocaine, a local anesthetic, for a more comfortable experience.
How long does the treatment take?
Appointments typically last 30–60 minutes, including consultation, prep, and injection.
What areas can be treated with dermal fillers?
Common areas include:
Lips
Cheeks
Nasolabial folds (smile lines)
Chin and jawline
Under-eye hollows
Marionette lines
Are there any side effects?
Mild swelling, redness, bruising, or tenderness at the injection site is normal and usually resolves within a few days. Rare complications will be discussed during your consultation.
When will I see results?
Results are often immediate, with final results visible after any swelling subsides (usually within 3–7 days).
Will I look “overdone” or unnatural?
Not at all. Our goal is natural, refreshed enhancement — never overfilled. Your treatment is customized to suit your facial features and goals.
What is the difference between Botox and fillers?
Botox relaxes muscles to smooth dynamic wrinkles (like forehead lines).
Fillers restore volume and contour static lines or areas with volume loss.
Who should avoid dermal fillers?
Fillers are not recommended for those who are:
Pregnant or breastfeeding
Have an active skin infection
Have certain autoimmune or bleeding disorders
