FAQs
-
Neuromodulators—such as Botox®, Dysport®, and Jeuveau®—are FDA-approved treatments designed to address the underlying causes of dynamic wrinkles and expression lines. By temporarily blocking the release of acetylcholine, these injectables gently relax targeted facial muscles, softening the appearance of fine lines and preventing the formation of new ones.
Administered just beneath the skin, neuromodulators are a safe, minimally invasive solution that requires no downtime—making them ideal for those seeking a refreshed, youthful appearance without disrupting their daily routine. When expertly injected, results are smooth, subtle, and natural-looking—never frozen or overdone. Whether you’re targeting crow’s feet, forehead lines, or frown lines, neuromodulators offer a proven and effective way to rejuvenate your look with confidence.
-
Treatment only takes 10-15 minutes, and a few very small injections. Noticeable results should appear 5-7 days after treatment, with full results visible 14 days post treatment.
-
Results last around 3-4 months, depending on the location of the treatment, your muscle activity and your body’s individual response.
-
It depends on several factors including: which area(s) you are trying to treat (11s, forehead, crow’s feet, etc), the strength of your facial muscles, and how deep your existing lines are. We recommend a complimentary consultation with our nurse injector to create a plan that is right for you.

Each type of neuromodulator (Botox®, Dysport®, and Jeuveau®) has a chemical composition that is slightly different than the others which can make one more effective than another at specific injection sites. We recommend talking to your injector to understand which product is the best fit for you!
-
Neuromodulator injections are very common, low risk procedures. Headache and minor bruising or swelling at the injection site are the most common side effects, but rarely occur. As with any treatment, there are always risks which your injector will walk you through prior to treatment.
-
If you have one or more of the following, neuromodulators may not be right for you. Please talk to your provider for additional information:
Psoriasis or eczema in the desired treatment area
Active Bells palsy
immunocompromised
Infection in the treatment area
Keloidal scarring
Neuromuscular disorder (e.g., myasthenia gravis, Lambert-Eaton syndrome)
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding

Injectors at RBA treat the following areas:
Upper Face
Forehead lines – horizontal lines caused by raising the eyebrows
Glabellar lines (“11s”) – vertical frown lines between the eyebrows
Brow lift – subtle lift of the brows to open up the eye area
Crow’s feet – fine lines at the outer corners of the eyes
Midface
Bunny lines – wrinkles on the sides of the nose when scrunching
Under-eye wrinkles – softening of fine lines just beneath the eyes (off-label use)
Lower Face
Nasolabial folds – while fillers are often used here, neuromodulators may be used in adjacent muscles for balancing
Lip flip – relaxing the upper lip to subtly enhance its shape and show more of the pink lip
Perioral lines (smoker’s lines) – vertical lip lines above the upper lip
Marionette lines – softening downward-turning lines at the corners of the mouth
Chin and Jawline
Chin dimpling (pebble chin) – smoothing the texture by relaxing the mentalis muscle
Jaw slimming (masseter reduction) – contouring the lower face and reducing clenching or grinding
Neck bands (platysmal bands) – softening prominent vertical neck bands for a smoother neck appearance (often referred to as a “Nefertiti lift”)
